Sweet Summer Time... :D

So summer's almost here. I wish I could go to Hawaii because I've still never been  there before. I want to lay on the beach and play in the clear, blue water and just chill out while drinking a pina colada. It's been my dream, but my dreams never come true. I want to catch the waves and surf, and go scuba diving or snorkeling and see all the pretty fishes and coral. I want to wear a grass skirt and a lei and hula around everywhere. Ahh, the warm summer touch on my skin.
Such a beautiful scene, never to come true. HAHAHAHA.
Instead, I'm visiting my grandparents in Canada, so it won't be that bad I guess. Thankfully, my friend is going to be in Canada too, so we get to meet up like, every other weekend.
Resist on making any Canadian jokes, eh? :P

Annoying People in Seoul

People you have to avoid in Korea

1. The subway - There are like, million different type of people, weird old grandparents to 20 year olds with orange hair.
2. The Korean Middle / highschoolers - When they hear you talking in English, they start trying to impress you by talking in English, "TALKING" ahem ahem. Then they follow you everywhere until you speak Korean and tell them to go away.
3. The waitresses/transportation helper people - They think that you're totally dumb and idiotic because you came from America, but when you speak English, they start asking weird questions in English and then finally leave you alone after you missed your train.
4. Little kids - They stare at you for at least 30 minutes, then realize they have to go to Kumon or tutor.
5. Middle schooler photo obsessors - These are the most annoying people in Seoul. They go around taking pictures of everything, wearing jean shorts over tights and weird cartoon pictures and headbands that block your sight. In every single picture they take, they do the peace sign. It's so annoying and tacky.
6. K Pop obsessors - People who sing KPOP everywhere they go, dancing everywhere, and crying whenever they see them. It's so annoying. When you come to Korea, GOOD LUCK. :)

Flowers, Flowers, Flowers!

For class today, we went to Yonsei University. Because summer is already here, we walked around the flowers. They were really pretty and came in like, 10 different colours. It also smelled amazing. This might sound gross, but I ate some of the flowers. Not whole, but near the bottom of the flower, where it meets the stem, if you pinch off the white stuff and squeeze, this clear, sweet honey like thing comes out. It's actually really good :D It was amazing. The only thing was that it was too hot, and afterwards, I could've joined the Jersey Shore ;) It was a really fun experience, though. Yonsei is a really big university and has lots of antique-looking building, with vines climbing up them. It looked like one of those princess Disney castles. We also tried to plank, and take jumping photos. They all failed in a way. It was really fun, though. On the way back, we had races to get to the top of the hills, because there were many mini-hills.

Cheesy Cheesy Pizza!

So today for lunch, my fellow classmates and I went to a pizza restaurant near our school. I ordered the cheese pizza and shared with my friend Julie. Sadly, I was trying to cut back on some calories but the pizza was like, all oily and stuff! I mean, it's fun to eat those really unhealthy foods once in a while, but that morning, I promised myself that I would cut back. It was like an unlucky day for me; I had about two lunches (one school lunch, and then this one) and then my Korean teacher bought our class ice cream... Sigh, guess I'll have to start another day...
Anyways, the pizza itself was really good~ The crust was baked PERFECTLY and to top it off, I poured on tobasco sauce. Funny, we played a similar game we did when we went to the waffle shop. There was one piece left, which I cut into small pieces, and we played rock paper scissors with 7 people. The loser had to eat a small piece of pizza that was DRENCHED in tobasco sauce. I had to eat it twice, but it wasn't even that spicey. It was actually really good! Just a tad bit too salty and sour :)
Julie had to do it too, and I barely put on some sauce, but she was hacking up like a truck engine! Hehe :)

Waffles.... yummy!

Yummy yummy in my tummy! Today my class and I went to go eat at a waffle shop near our school. It was DELISH. Me and my friends split an overpriced waffle, but it was totally worth it. The waffles were served with real french vanilla and strawberry icecream on it. It's been FOREVER since I've eaten french vanilla. Mmm, it was a beautiful sight. When we finished eating everything, we noticed there was some maple syrup. We bargained and played rock paper scissors, and the loser had to drink the maple syrup. It smelled awful, and thankfully, I didn't have to drink it. After that, I got a lemon from the front counter and in the next round, the loser had to eat it. This time, it was my friend Julie. (You guys should go check out her blog! julielovesbigbang.blogspot.com) Hehe, well that's all for now~ Until next time,
byebye! *^^*

Korea Trends!

These are some trends that are happening in Korea right now! ^^
To me, some of these are just ridiculous items. Don't get me wrong, I think Beats are pretty cool, but they're just headphones. I only like them because the ear thingy is squishy. BigBang is a HUGE sensation around Korea. They're a really popular Korean pop boy group. Speaking of KPOP, there's this huge hit TV show called KPOP Star. It's basically like American Idol, but Korean.
I've been seeing many people wearing Uggs and Toms these days. I love them and I'm wishing I can get my own pair soon. Also, many MANY people here in Korea are wearing these HUGE glasses. I'm not being stereotypical, but most of the Koreans I've seen wearing those huge hipster glasses that cover up their cheeks have small eyes, and the glasses don't really help. Sure it's cute on some people, but not all of them.
Now, onto fooooood.
Manoffin is this AMAZING muffin coffee chain that is located in almost every crowded subway station. I know there is one near my subway and it is delish. Mmm mmm good! :)
Also Chupa chups are become really popular. If you ever come to Korea, you will most likely see a high schooler wearing her school uniform with straight bangs across her forehead (believe me, this is basically explaining any typical Korean girl), wearing hipster glasses, and sucking on a Chupa chup. It really irritates me for some reason. Bleh.
E Mart. All over Korea and has basically everything you need to survive. Food, clothes, school supplies, food, the works. ^^
